Domestic help required…
December 30th, 2007What on earth do you do with a toilet that stinks of cigarette smoke?! Seriously, JT thought I was joking until he walked into the bathroom. It smells like the school toilets after some kids have popped in for a secret smoke thinking that the teachers won’t be able to tell. I have no idea why, we clean it with various toilet cleaners, but it absolutely stinks! Any bright sparks out there with a solution?!

I think some bleaches have that rather acrid smell about them.. I can smell it now (clever, because I can’t smell anything else…). Try Sainsbury’s cheap herbal bath foam at 68p a litre. Use the bleach once in a while. No kidding - it’s better for the environment, better for you, and costs much less. Apparently the germ cleaners are only effective for about half an hour. Use your toilet brush around the bowl and flush. Lovely smell, nice gleaming loo.

Maybe smoke a cigar in there - they smell much nicer….

Bleach in the loo and leave the seat up. Works every time. Happy New Year! Foxy
