Now, many of your will know that I am not a great fan of spiders. Quite the opposite in fact. This said, I will not allow JT to kill any that come into the house (even the one that was crawling down my bath towel the other day as I started to dry myself - that caused a shriek I can tell you!) However, I did jump slightly with surprise as I read the following headline in the Echo the other day:

“Mussolini’s Spyder Goes Under The Hammer”

The spelling passed me by completely and I had visions of a poor little pet spider coming to an untimely end due to a careless flick of the wrist! Of course, I opened the article only to discover that it refers to a car being auctioned. What a blonde.

“It was expected to go for up to £1 million.” Whoops.
