I have a problem

May 13th, 2008

I most definitely have a problem with food.  Somehow, in the journey from the plate to my mouth, it just…Misses!?  I have no idea what goes wrong.  Tonight I made tortellini in a bowl.  What can go wrong?  Even a toddler could manage.  I took JT’s advice and held the bowl up a little higher so that the food had a higher percentage chance of reaching my mouth.  Suddenly a piece of tortellini slipped from the fork, painted my chin and face, then planted itself straight on my chest.  Noooooo!

Can anyone help me?  Boobs prevent the ‘hold the bowl up a little higher’ method from working.  What can I do??

If I’m wearing light clothes and eating any coloured food… recipe for disaster! I think that a bib is required!

Oh Nai, you’re not the only one! this is a chronic problem for my mum and i feel it’s effects are hereditary…i think we need to go for the bowl over the boobs, right under the chin! also, a bowl might not be the best dish, think of something wider, to catch anything that deos drop. and maybe go for a spoon, and this is less likely to release to food all down your top. or maybe, just maybe, i’m thinking about this too much. ahem, yeah go for a bib.
