Lack of customer service - again!

Yesterday’s culprits were the company who arrogantly claim that every day thousands of people are coming back to them.  This is possibly the most ridiculous advertising slogan I have ever heard and probably not true!   Everyone I know, who I have asked, dislikes this company.  Yesterday our Boradband went down for the second time in a week.  Very annoying.  I had some important emails to send when it had gone down yesterday, so at 8am, when they opened, I gave them a call.  I rang a special number with a pin code that we had been given specifically for our fault only to be informed of the following:

“I regret to inform you that our tools are currently down and you will have to ring back in two hours”.

“What does that even mean?”

“I regret to inform you that our tools are currently down and you will have to ring back in two hours”

“Is that why my broadband is down?  Will it be up again in two hours?”

“I regret to inform you that our tools are currently down and you will have to ring back in two hours”

Fuming, I decided to go and use the web at Uni, after a trip to the gym.  Finally when I got home later, the broadband was still down, so I braced myself and called customer service.  After literally more than an hour on the phone going round in circles and actually shouting at them because they would not listen (”I can assure you that there is no problem whatsoever with our hardware, the fault is an authentication error at your end.” “Yes madam, what router are you using please” “THE FAULT IS NOT WITH OUR HARDWARE!!!  WHY DO YOU NOT LISTEN TO A WORD I SAY???” etc for an hour, by which time I was seriously livid). Even when I begrudgingly complied with their wishes and performed their hardware tests about three times only to tell them what I had already said, they still didn’t know what to do and hung up on me.  Nice.

We called back again and asked to be put through to cancellations.  They wouldn’t let us cancel because of our contractual agreement.  JT by this point stated that a contract is between two people and since they have not kept their contract (to provide us with Boradband) then the contract is now invalid.

GRRRRRR!!!  MUPPETS.  My advice?  Never EVER use this company.
