Well although I have been stuck mostly in bed for the past few days with some dodgy stomach/IBS combo, we have taken delivery of our new car at last!  We cycled in the rain to see it and arrived looking like a pair of swamp monsters.  I think I was so fed up by then that I just said “yeah cool we’ll have it” when JT asked me!!  It is no Toyota to drive but at least it is little and easy to manoevure.  The interior needs some serious cleaning and we need to buy new hub caps as there are two missing and some considerate kid drew a large item of male genitalia on one of the remaining two!!

We need a new lock as you cannot unlock the driver’s door from the outside but JT can fix this.  It also makes a bit of a clunk when you go over a bump, which is not the suspension (thankfully!) but some kind of loose ball joint or something (what do I know??)  Possibly also needs discs and pads but other than that it is a pretty good runner and quite good fun!  I have only driven it round the block so far as I have felt too nauseous to go very far!
