In music
November 6th, 2008I have shortened the title of these posts as I am quite sure that my knowledge of roman numerals will soon come to an end.
This song is actually a song of the moment, right now. I have Mark R to thank for putting me onto this one. I have been a fan of Zero 7 for a while but previously only owned a couple of their tracks. Mark and I have quite similar tastes in music, so usually when he recommends a track I know it will be good. Being a bit of a fan of electronica music, this fitted the bill perfectly. I absolutely love the music video and am going to use it as a point of inspiration for one of my projects this year.
My love for electronica came along when I was doing my A Levels and feeling a bit stressed. Someone had given JT a Ministry of Sound Chillout Sessions album (they are always awesome) and I pretty much listened to it on loop for two years!! My favourite track from that was the classic “At the River” by Groove Armada. Up until that time, I had loved D&B, various dance tracks ad a lot of genres that skirted around the electronica genre, but it was only really then that I got into this particular style and from then was hooked. So here it is, song of the moment: Destiny by Zero 7 (video directed by Tommy Pallotta, who also did a brilliant video about autism called “SNACK AND DRINK” - see youtube - in NY Museum of Modern Art).
