What a pile of junk. No offence (i.e. massive offence) but why does the whole population need reminding of someone elses granny however nice she was? Even things like I Luv Alan are hardly showing mass appeal. I wouldn't even eat it, I would throw it at somebody in disgust (which would be ironic if their name was Alan!). Heart baby seems the only one to be generic enough for inclusion. haha xx

10 layers of skin eh? I thought we only had 2 but when did science matter to adverts. They usually show dodgy animations of spherical objects causing healing to crooked looking triangles to prove that their products work (with a small caveat, "dramatisation not based on real life"). Not sure why that is allowed, we should complain to the ASA that penetrating 10 layers of skin would lead to blood poisoning.

They should invent a system where you can press a button and explode the receiver at the other end. Maybe people would be more helpful if their life was in your hands ; )
Seriously, I would write to BT Complaints (must be a big department) and copy the office of fair trading, the local trading standards, your MP, the BT shareholders, Consumer Direct, Watchdog and anyone else who might care and name every single person and how much of a failure they are. Then spell out how inept they must be at every level in every department to make such a massive failure out of something that could have been fixed right from the off.
It might not make any difference but it would be nice to know that the people who can kick BTs arse find out about this stuff.

Yes - I really would Nai - public humiliation is sometimes the only language these people understand!

Also, how about re-wording 'compensation' as 'payment for your time'.

In this age of personal choice, BT really shouldn't be allowed to have such a monopoly - why not write to Martin Horwood MP.

Write a piece for the local paper along the lines of 'small business woes in a recession'...something about how difficult it is in a recession and how the incompetence of services provided by BT have taken you to the edge etc etc. See if it gets picked up.

Seriously Nai - you need to contact Ofcom - Consumer Direct and Trading Standards may be able to help but they have very limited powers. The newspapers always a good one though if you can get them to print a story. Then there's always Anne Robinson!
